Christmas was a magical little treat, filled with lots of awesomeness. I was totally spoiled and got some killer new dvds to watch!! Which i imagine i will be doing after work everday, aka coming home and crashing and burning after absorbing a ton of info everday (fyi my first two months at work is ALL training.... thank the Lord!). Anyway, and i got a faboosh purse that makes me cry tears of joy everytime i see it. I think it was a little slice of Marc Jacobs heaven just sent along my way. Anyway, beyond the actual gifting... the cheese pennies were delish, we played Steve-o's new Wii he got from Laura (totally beyond amazing), watched White Christmas....well abbie and i did, everybody else dropped like flies, and ate entirely too much good food. AKA all in all a total success.
And now! Tonight is new years eve!!! YAAAAY! So excited. We (we being andy, mike...andys brosef, mike's gf, dan and i) are all going to our favorite little spot in broadripple The Wild Beaver, and we reserved a table. Honestly it is OUR place and we would feel traitorous going anywhere else! Okay, but seriously, the single thing i'm most excited about? The FREE PARTY FAVORS! OH YEAH! HOLLA TO THAT!! Seriously, they are single handedly the BEST part about New Years and in honor of them, i wrote a little ode to the Party Favors......
"Oh you blessed noisemakers, you poppers, you sparkly hats... you make the ADD girl in side of me jump for joy, and give me a reason to run around throwing confetti in my friends faces. You let me embrace the inner princess that I truly am, by allowing me to wear a tacky bedazzled 2010 tiara with feathers on it. Oh you glorious loud kazoos and fake plastic whistley things, you are every dudes worst nightmare, and I thank you for that.You bring cheap plastic sunshine to my evening, and allow me to be the most obnoxious I will be in all of 2009. Man I teared up just thinking about all that....MOVING ON! I got a new car!! Which i'm sure all of you know by now, but anyway, I'm so beyond excited. It was perfect timing as well, considering the bean ultimately and totally died. Its a 2007 Ford Escape, named Dory, by Laura. Which i feel its a tots faboosh name and makes the car totally more precious. I feel very "Cool" in my car, which sounds really loser-ish, but i have like all this sweet stuff in it, like my radio displays the song title and the name of the artist. Also i have a sunroof....you know, for all my coming home from work, blasting tunes on my drive and singing along at the top of my lungs...the sunroof will allow just another way for my melodic voice to travel to the ears of those lucky few that are driving around me. Also i have tinted windows in the back. Which is like, totally baller. Obvi. OH! AND i have leather seats. Now this may seem like the least coolest part of the things i've mentioned. However, coming from having a car that had regly fabric seats that were literally...IMPOSSIBLE to clean, and got stains and fuzzies from coats and sweaters all over them, the leather is a real treat. PREACH.
Alright kids, I have to go start pulling my life together for the evenings festivities. I hope everyone has a wonderful new year, filled with lots of good things! I cant wait for 2010, personally i have a TON of new life experiences ahead of me, and the meyer family in general has sooo many good things!! M/D turing the big 6-0, Tappy is turing 90!!! oh and you know possibly this small little...WEDDING.. that will be happening!! Yay!! See ya later 2009, you were total crap, and i cant wait to see you kicked out the yearly door.
